Booking Agency: DEICIDE's GLEN BENTON Is 'The Worst Person We've Ever Worked With'

June 10, 2004

Metallysee Booking Agency head honcho Johan has sent a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET in response to DEICIDE frontman Glen Benton's assertion that Metallysee is solely to blame for the cancellation of DEICIDE's European tour. It reads as follows:

"Whatever this guy says, he is an idiot with a crazy attitude. Regarding merchandise, he asked us to print up shirts for DEICIDE. I have here a e-mail where he asked us to take care of his merchandise.

"First of all, we agreed on the support acts months ago — in agreement with Earache Records. Regarding pay, this guy changed his deals one week before the [start of the] tour.

"We [have been] working with most death-thrash metal bands in Europe and with the best labels. We never ripped any of our bands off or whatever.

"Regarding transports we working only with the best company's in Europe Starline-De Wit-Gaanon nightliners.

"I'm more than happy we and many local promoters and crew don't have to deal with this guy never anymore.

"I will see what other agency will pay him in the future [the cost of]: flights, nightlinner, crew, soundman, drums, backline fee, posters + all other costs on top. Nobody, I'm sure.

"Nothing against the other DEICIDE members but Glen Benton is the worst person we ever worked with.

"We wish them all the best."
